Duolingo English Test (DET), is a standard way to measure your English skills. This test is the first one of its kind to be taken completely online. Universities liked the design of the DET, so it became more popular and widely accepted. Now, more than 4,000 universities allow you to use your DET score for your application.

First, sign up for an account at https://englishtest.duolingo.com/register. After signing up, click the "Buy Now" button to purchase the test. You can then take the test anytime within 21 days of purchasing it.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, the test is affordable, typically costing less than other English proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS. The fee for Duolingo is INR 3800/-.

When registering for the Duolingo examination, applicants must provide a valid National ID photo proof such as a passport, driver's license, government ID, or military identification proof.

What are the rules for Duolingo Test ?

You must be alone in the room. Your face and ears must be visible and uncovered. No headphones or earphones. No outside materials, including mobile devices, notes, or textbooks.

What is the difference between Duolingo and IELTS ?

The first point of difference between the IELTS VS Duolingo exams is their formats. There are two types of IELTS namely: Academic Training and General Training. Under IELTS, while the listening and reading sections remain the same for all candidates, the reading and writing sections vary for different candidates. The Listening, Reading, and Writing tests have to be completed on the same day with no breaks in between the tests.
